BACKGROUND: King's Family Distillery is a craft whiskey distillery nestled in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountain in Tennessee. They were founded in 2018 by power couple Justin and Cara King. Justin and Cara had more than a decade of experience across a vast array of the whiskey industry.
NOSE: Kings Wheated has a very woody nose, giving off scents of charred oak, sawdust, and a hint of cherry. (21/25)
PALATE: An oily mouthfeel, as the whiskey swirls around your tastebuds you’re left with flavors of vanilla, maple syrup, & cherry oak. As you continue to sip on the glass the woodier notes come back from the nose giving a sweet oat that pairs wonderfully with the vanilla. (30/40)
FINISH: Kings Wheated bourbon has a short finish lined with hints of cherry, vanilla, and spiced oak. (21/25)
VALUE:The MSRP on this bourbon is $36 which is right where it should be, this is a great one to keep on the shelf for cocktails and company. (7/10)
